Reading- We will be working
on the reading strategy of visualization. We will be using poetry, books and
music to allow the students to practice making pictures in their head.
This week we will also be learning poetry vocabulary.
Language/Writing- We will
continue to work on sentence structure along with nouns and verbs. We will also
begin to talk about subject and predicate. In writing, we will be writing an
All About Me poem.
Science- This week we will be
learning about the different states of matter. We will explore states of matter
though 2 labs. It will be fun!
Math- This week we are
finishing up topic one. Our new learning will have comparing and ordering
numbers as well as some problem solving with money. We will pracitce counting
money and making change. On Friday we will have a math assessment over topic 1
which will also include place value.
I have a few more students
who need to complete their ibooks from last week. We are trying to rotate
through our ipads as fast as we can. As soon as everyone is finished I will
email you your childs book. They are turning out so cute.
